Menotec:
Improves testis functional rehabilitation. Useful in the treatment of varicocele.
A significant improvement of sperm parameters in the two groups treated with menotropin respect to the group treated with only varicocelectomy. It could be responsible for a similar improvement of the pregnancy rate. Teh association between varicocelectomy and early use of menotropin seem to improve testis functional rehabilitation.

Indications:
  • Amenorrhoea & infertility
  • Hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism in males and females
  • Follicle stimulation in IVH
  • Cryptoorchidism
Dosage & Administration:
In Female:
Patients who have received GnRH agonist or Antagonist Pituitary suppression
 		150 iu SC or IM daily for first 5 days adjust according to patient response. Do not exceed 450 iu/day.

If patient response is appropriate, give Hcg 5000 to 10000 iu one day following the last dose of menotrophins

In Male
 		75 iu IM 3 times a week and Hcg 2000 iu twice a week.
If the patient does not respond iwth increased spermatogenesis at the end of 4 months, increase dose to 150 iu 3  times a week.
