Product Specification
Terlipressin Injection:
  • Similar to natural occurring hormone AHD or Vasopressin
  • Exerts vasoconstrictive effects on bleeding vessels.
  • Effective in the management of acute oesophageal variceal hemorrhage
  • Equally effective as injection sclerotherapy for the control of acute variceal bleeding.
Indications:
  • Variceal hemorrhage
  • Hepatorenal syndrome
  • Shock
Dosage & Administration:
  • Variceal Hemorrhage:
    • 2mg as IV followed by 1 or 2mg every 4 to 6 hours if necessary until bleeding is controlled for up to 72 hours.
Hepatorenal Syndrome:
  • 1 - 3 mg/day for 7 - 15 days
Shock:
  • IV bolus of 1 to 2mg.
